RANIERO TESTA

Graduated in economics, he began his career as a testimonial for Benelli Armi, handling the Benelli Vinci shotgun. He assembled, loaded, and used it to hit a clay pigeon in 3.04 seconds, securing his first world record. He later became an athlete and professional shooter, achieving 13 additional records for a total of 14. His most recent record was set in 2017 in France, where he surpassed his previous achievement by launching 13 clay pigeons and hitting each one with a single shot before they touched the ground. He serves as an ambassador for the American giant “Winchester Army International”. As a testimonial for numerous companies, some of the most notable include Aimpoint, 3M Peltor, and Garmin. He is the sole shooter in the world to have received prestigious honors from the Italian government, including the titles of Cavaliere della Repubblica and Alfiere. In recognition of his role as an athlete and brand ambassador, Winchester Army has marketed two signature rifle models, the RT-SX3/SX4, in countries around the world.

JAMES WILLETT

“I was born in Yarrawonga in 1995 and grew up on the family farm in Mulwala, NSW. I began competitive shooting at the age of 14, and from there, I quickly climbed the ranks—with the obvious help of my parents. My passion for shooting developed during school, where it was offered as a school sport. Over the past 8 years, I’ve achieved significant milestones, reaching the pinnacle of my sport. This journey was only possible through intense training, sometimes under the scorching sun at 45°C, and other times in freezing rain. The bruises on my shoulder bore witness to the thousands of targets loaded into the home bunker. One thing is certain: I would do it all over again because I believe it’s the only path to success. Representing my country at the Olympic Games is a unique and priceless satisfaction that abundantly rewards all the efforts required.”
